American jazz legend Marcus Miller exclusively at the Mladí Ladí Jazz festival The sixth edition of the Mladí Ladí Jazz festival will start in April. Legendary bassist Marcus Miller will be the main star of the festival, exclusively presenting his new album Afrodeezia. "We decided to dedicate this year's festival mainly to the American jazz scene - the birthplace of this genre," adds Jan Gregar, one of the festival's organisers. Marcus Miller is considered one of the leading figures in jazz music of the last two decades. The multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer and winner of two Grammy Awards is returning to Prague after three years and his concert can rightly be called the musical event of this spring. Marcus Miller will present his brand new album Afrodeezia as part of the Young Tunes Jazz Festival.

Miller has worked as a producer, composer or musician on more than 500 albums by artists including such stars as Michael Jackson, Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock and David Sanborn. Thanks to the Mladí Ladí Jazz festival, you can hear his new album live on 26 April 2015 at the Roxy. Tickets are available for 660 CZK at Ticketstream. A limited number of tickets are available for under 26s for just CZK 100 on each night of the festival, and even after they run out, they will pay almost half off the ticket price. For Marcus Miller, they will pay only CZK 360 in advance, which goes hand in hand with the festival's basic goal of making jazz accessible to young people.
