The modern retro sound of Temples British psych rockers Temples return in 2017 with a new album. "Volcano" is the eagerly awaited follow-up to their successful 2014 debut "Sun Structures". James Bagshaw (vocals and guitar), Tom Walmsley (bass), Sam Toms (drums) and Adam Smith (keyboards) recorded and produced a total of twelve songs for it and, as with its predecessor, did everything themselves in their home studio in Kettering. The first impression of Temples came in late 2016 with the two singles "Certainty" and "Strange Or Be Forgotten". Both tracks show the quartet's further development on "Volcano". The proximity to '60s pop and the familiar psychedelic rock sound are still omnipresent, but the influences have become audibly more diverse. In addition to the standard CD and LP, "Volcano" is also available as a limited double-LP on yellow vinyl. While stocks last, of course. A modern retro sound? Temples 2017 show on their new album "Volcano" that these concepts are not mutually exclusive. On the contrary: in a way, they are their signature.
