6lack (pronounced "black") is an American singer, songwriter, and rapper from Atlanta, Georgia. Born Ricardo Valdez Valentine on June 24, 1992, he initially gained notable attention in the music industry with his 2016 debut album "Free 6lack," which was released after he signed to LoveRenaissance and Interscope Records. The album featured his breakout hit "Prblms," which is a moody blend of R&B and hip-hop and has been certified multi-platinum by the RIAA. Following the success of his debut, 6lack released his sophomore album "East Atlanta Love Letter" in 2018 to critical acclaim.
