Al Stewart is a British singer-songwriter and folk-rock musician known for his intricate lyrics, often infused with historical references and literary allusions. He played at the legendary Les Cousins folk club in London and shared a flat with future music stars like Paul Simon. Stewart's career gained significant momentum with the release of his album "Year Of The Cat" in 1976, which was produced by Alan Parsons and became a commercial success due to the title track and the single "On The Border." The follow-up album, "Time Passages," released in 1978, also achieved commercial success with its title track.
