Cory Wells was an American singer, best known as one of the three lead vocalists in the band Three Dog Night. The band, which also included Danny Hutton and Chuck Negron, was formed in the late 1960s and became one of the most popular groups in the United States during the early 1970s. Cory Wells contributed to the band's distinctive vocal harmonies and helped them achieve success with hits like "Mama Told Me (Not to Come)," "Joy to the World," and "Black and White." Three Dog Night earned numerous gold records and continued to tour for many years, even after their initial period of chart dominance had ended. Wells' soulful voice was a key element of the band's sound, and he remained with Three Dog Night until his death in 2015.
