Italian Progressive Rock Band

Il Segno del Comando started in Genoa, Italy, in 1995 as a studio project. They released the first same titled LP one year later, on Black Widow Records. The first record gravitated around the novel written by Giuseppe D'Agata and the same titled TV Series produced by Italian Radio and Television channel RAI in the seventies. Musically speaking, the band uses a jazz-rock-prog-dark-soundtrack approach inspired by past artists such as Goblin, Jacula, Il Balletto di Bronzo. After featuring in several compilations, ISDC released a full length "Der Golem" (BWR - 2001), this time inspired by the esoteric novel "Der Golem" by Gustav Meyrink. The project remained inactive until 2010 when Diego Banchero and Black Widow rejoined forces with a new line up change: Diego took full charge after Mercy left to follow different projects and musical directions. The new album "Il Volto Verde" (The green face) is inspired by the same titled novel by Gustav Meyrink once again.
