Mark Egan is an accomplished American jazz bassist known for his distinctive fretless bass sound and his contributions to the world of jazz fusion. He gained prominence as a member of the Pat Metheny Group in the late 1970s and early 1980s, where his fluid bass lines were integral to the band's innovative sound.
