Nathaniel Rateliff is an American singer-songwriter known for his soulful, folk-based music. He began his career in the early 2000s with a modest solo career before gaining prominence as the frontman of Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, a group that blends soul, R&B, and roots rock. The band's self-titled debut album, released in 2015, included the hit single "S.O.B." which brought them international fame. Prior to his success with The Night Sweats, Rateliff released solo albums including "Falling Faster Than You Can Run" in 2013, showcasing his more introspective and acoustic style. In 2020, he returned to his solo work with the album "And It's Still Alright," which received critical acclaim for its poignant songwriting and stripped-back aesthetic. That same year, despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Rateliff recorded a live album titled "Red Rocks 2020," capturing a unique performance at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre with a limited audience due to health and safety restrictions.
