Staind

American rock band

Staind is an American rock band formed in 1995 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The group originally consisted of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Aaron Lewis, lead guitarist Mike Mushok, bassist and backing vocalist Johnny April, and drummer Jon Wysocki (who left the band in 2011). Staind is known for their post-grunge and alternative metal sound, which they combined with elements of heavy metal and nu metal in some of their work. They gained mainstream success with their third studio album, "Break the Cycle," released in 2001, which featured the hit single "It's Been Awhile." This song became a staple on rock radio and helped propel the band to international fame.
