The Venus Reaction

A one off Rock band formed by David Donley featuring Vocalist & alt-model Amie Conradine, Ed Graham (The Darkness/Puppets To The Supreme Commander) on drums, & Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols/Rich Kids/The Faces) on Bass for 'Crashing Up', with Jim Lowe (Stereophonics producer/Atlantic Machine) on Bass for 'Lifetime'. The idea was born out of Donley's passion for rare vinyl & the idea that once the single sold out it would be gone, no re-press, no follow up etc. Donley picked his "dream line -up made out of close friends in other bands" & kept the whole thing "very personal & real" by having it mixed by good friend Jim Lowe (Grammy nominated mix engineer with 5 No1's as a producer under his belt) & having the cover painting done by local artist Simon Pritchard. Even one of the distributors 'Burning Shed' was a close connection, Donley having worked there for four years before turning pro as a musician in the mid-naughties. Donley is a multi instrumentalist & has played Drums, Guitar, or Bass with Glen Matlock, Willie Nile, Woody Woodmansey & Tony Visconti's Holy Holy, Daphne Guiness, Dance Naked, Ivy, Adam Ant, & many others.
