The third brilliant effort from alt-J Shortly after the release of their first live album "Live At Red Rocks", British alternative folk combo alt-J returned to the studio last year to work on new songs. Their new album, "Relaxer", features a total of eight tracks. With this album, the Leeds-based trio's 2017 follow-up to its predecessor "This Is All Yours", but dating back three years. However, the time between albums has certainly not been wasted by alt-J. Drummer Thom Green has released his first solo album, 'High Anxiety', while keyboardist Gus Unger-Hamilton has opened a cafe and restaurant in London. They previewed the album "3WW" back in March 2017. This groovy song full of beats shows that the album title "Relaxer" is not far-fetched. It's also clear that alt-J have once again taken their very distinctive sound to a new level. The new album was produced by Barclaycard Mercury Prize and Brit Award winner Charlie Andrew (Bloc Party, Nick Mulvey, Darwin Deez), who has worked on both of alt-J's previous albums. Incidentally, the cover of "Relaxer" features a screenshot from the PlayStation game "LSD", which was released in 1998. alt-J remain true to themselves and continue to improve. "Relaxer" is the name of the new genius venture of the three Brits.
