The documentary "Biophilia Live" is a sumptuous dessert for all Björk fans and artistic gourmets after the multi-course multimedia menu that the exceptional Icelandic artist served up under the title "Biophilia" around her seventh album. In it, she combines science with emotion, music with nature, nature with technology, in other words: for 90 minutes you can admire these symbioses of artistic work of the heart and head. Björk's most elaborate album to date was recorded live in the very intimate setting of London's Alexandra Palace with the help of countless scientists, writers, developers, videographers, producers and other collaborators. The film was directed by Nick Fenton and Peter Strickland and produced by Jacqueline Edenbrow of Gloria Films. The audio spectacle is now finally followed by an audio-visual conclusion in the form of a documentation of a live performance of the complete album in London in 2013. Product Information On November 24, a critically acclaimed documentary film capturing a multi-dimensional concert focusing on Björk's eighth studio album, "Biophilia Live", will be released internationally via One Little Indian. The DVD and Blu-ray release also includes additional content that was filmed during Biophilia's residency at Japan's Miraikan Museum. The film documents an intimate performance of Biophilia at London's Alexandra Palace, where Björk was accompanied by unique musical instruments, collaborators and visual effects. Produced by directors Nick Fenton and Peter Strickland and produced by Jacqueline Edenbrow/Gloria Films, the film also features scientific and natural archive and found footage inspired by the album's themes, as well as animation set to music from Biophilia.
