All songs are written by Øystein Garnes Brun, the band's founder. Norwegian avant-garde black metal innovators Borknagar are celebrating the 25th anniversary of their debut album. On "Borknagar", guitarist Øystein G. Brun with like-minded musicians from Enslaved, Gorgoroth, Arcturus, Immortal and Ulver to push the boundaries of what was then considered "traditional" black metal. This edition of "Borknagar (25th Anniversary Re-issue 2021)" is released as a digipack 2CD and gatefold 2LP on 180g black vinyl with meticulous remastering of the album's 10 tracks, redesigned original artwork, a disc full of previously unheard bonus material, exclusive photos and detailed liner notes, making it the definitive version of a seminal Norwegian metal classic!
