His innovative music was also evident in the artwork, costumes and elaborate stage shows. He was the creative force behind the band that redefined the rules of pop. He set the standard for the "cool frontman" and without him the music world would not be what it is today. Soon Ferry also became an accomplished solo artist and style icon. For FERRY, style has always been more than just fashion. Like Sinatra or Serge Gainsbourg, he exuded an unforgettable elegance and quickly became a trendsetter. He combined the mystery of great art with fascinating music. Even after 36 years, he still receives recognition for his vocal skills and compositional qualities. In this decade he has been nominated for a Grammy Award, won more than a dozen international awards, toured the world four times and released three sensational albums. The decade is enriched by another highlight: "Best Of" impressively captures the fascination of the dazzling gentlemen of glam rock. In addition to the nineteen singles, two bonus tracks are included: an alternate piano version of "A Fool For Love," which originally appeared on "Frantic," and the Drifters/Dusty Springfield classic "I Don't Want To Go On Without You," which was re-recorded especially for this collection.
