With this album, Michael "D'ANGELO" Archer brought anything but a conventional rhythm'n'blues album, but ushered in a whole new era. To call "Voodoo" the most anticipated second album in modern soul history is an understatement. It's simply an album that the entire nation is licking its fingers to. And if you ask D'ANGELO why on earth it took so long, the answer speaks volumes about his artistic integrity and mission: "First and foremost, I wanted to make the best album I could. I just wanted to sit down and write some really good songs." Only the first single, "Left & Right", featuring D'ANGELO and MCs REDMAN and METHOD MAN, has been released on vinyl. The track is a brilliant blend of hip hop and groovy soul and impresses with its laid back coolness. VOODOO" also contains many other songwriting gems, including numerous collaborations with LAURYN HILL, THE ROOTS and DJ PREMIER.
