Gothenburg's melodic death metal pioneers Dark Tranquillity present their eleventh studio album and show no signs of wear and tear, on the contrary: 25 years after the release of their debut demo "Trail of Life Decayed", the band scores with first-class melodeath earworms! Tracks mixed by David Castillo (Katatonia, Opeth, Candlemass) and mastered by Jens Bogren (Amon Amarth, Amorphis), such as the great "The Pitiless", shine with excellent guitar melodies and haunting riffs, while the title track and "Forward Momentum" showcase catchy keyboard motifs and Mikael Stanne's brilliant vocal contrasts between aggressive and clean passages. Following their previous album "Construct", which reached the Swedish Top Ten (#9) and broke into the Top 40 in Germany (#37), the Swedes are now at the start of the next exciting chapter of their success story. Physical formats include a limited edition Mediabook in a slipcase that includes an additional disc of bonus tracks, as well as a stylish 180gram vinyl in gatefold sleeve, including a CD as an encore.
