DEATH, a heavy metal institution founded, realized and led by legendary guitarist Chuck Schuldiner, released the 1993 album Individual Thought Patterns (the follow-up to their seminal Human). Expectations were high after the release of Human, but Schuldiner proved once again that he was capable of rising to the occasion. Individual Thought Patterns further refined the progressive and forward-thinking direction that was born with Human, and featured the track "The Philosopher", arguably the best song to ever come out of the extreme metal world and still the most well-known to this day. Vinyl reissue of the legendary Death's fifth album "Individual Thought Patterns" from 1993. After the success of the previous album "Human" (1991), expectations were high, but frontman Chuck Schuldiner proved with "Individual Thought Patterns" that he could take his vision of metal even further. Death's sound and song development moved towards progressive metal and the album contains one of the best songs ever released in extreme metal: "The Philosopher". The album was remixed and remastered by Death mastering engineer Alan Douches (West West Side).
