The A Team has stayed in the top ten of the UK singles chart for over 10 weeks, has sold over 500,000 times and is the most successful single of the year in the UK so far..... The video for the song has been viewed 5 million times on YouTube in just a few weeks and still gets around 100,000 clicks a day. The free gig at Camden's Barfly club was jammed with over 1,000 fans on the street, forcing ED to play three gigs in a row and a fourth on the doorstep to keep the kids quiet. Clearly, more is just not possible! In A Team, the story is that of a young girl, Angel, who gets caught up in a whirlwind of drug addiction and prostitution. Ed Sheeran, by the way, knew her personally when he worked at a homeless shelter. Needless to say, the music video for the song, directed by Ruskin Kyle, has appeared on all the major music channels (MTV, NME, QTV and Starz).
