It was also certified diamond in Canada and triple platinum in the United Kingdom. Music critics praised Marshall Mathers' LP, noting Eminem's lyrical prowess and the album's aggressive, dark and emotional themes. The album's lead single, "The Real Slim Shady", became Eminem' first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single, "Stan", co-written by British singer Dido, came in at number four on the chart. The third single from the album, "Without Me", became Eminem' second single to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
