A live album for technophile rock fans If you've ever had the pleasure of seeing or hearing any of the members of Flying Colors live, you can consider yourself lucky because you've probably attended either a Deep Purple, Dixie Dregs, Transatlantic, The Winery Dogs, Dream Theater or Spock's Beard concert. Those who saw the supergroup in full could have been at the concert of its 2014 Second Nature Tour. Thanks to the film "Second Flight: Live At The Z7", a concert film from that tour, which was shot in Pratteln, Switzerland, is now available. It features the band performing a total of 15 songs, including many tracks from their acclaimed debut album "Flying Colors" (2012) and almost all of the songs from their second album "Second Nature" (2014), on which they have further refined their blend of hard rock, metal, melodic and progressive rock. Thus, the five musicians present an incredibly high technical level on "Second Flight: Live At The Z7" - both in terms of their musical skills and the cinematic recording. For the latter, the group hired special effects company Cinnafilm, which then mastered the footage shot with 24 cameras using the same technology used for the "Star Wars" film. For an even better live experience, the listener also has the option to choose different 5.1 sound settings. They can decide whether they want to receive comparable sound from the two best seats in the Z7 acoustically or from the mixing desk in the concert hall. "Second Flight: Live At The Z7" is available as a complete double CD and DVD or Blu-ray set, as well as a limited edition three-LP set containing an additional bonus track.
