Chunga's Revenge is Frank Zappa's third solo album (October 1970). It was recorded by an almost entirely new line-up of the Mothers (Howard Kaylan and Mark Volman - former lead singers of The Turtles). It heralded a controversial era in Zappa's musical history. The content of the album focuses more on the life of a rock band and many of the songs deal with aspects of sexuality. Formally, the tone becomes more satirical and less subtle.
