Another Hammerfall milestone Ten albums in 20 years: Hammerfall is one of the most creative power metal acts on offer today. In 2016, the Swedes are at it again: "Built To Last" is the apt title of their new album. Joacim Cans (vocals), Oscar Dronjak (guitar), Pontus Norgren (guitar), David Wallin (drums) and Fredrik Larsson (bass) recorded ten new songs. And they live up to their reputation as modern representatives of 80s classic metal. Fast drums and aggressive riffs dominate on "Built To Last", of course combined with great melodies. The combative lyrics, which Can delivers with his strong voice, put the crown on it all as always. Hammerfall have already made this known with the singles "Hammer High" and "The Sacred Vow". There is also room for the ballad "Twilight Princess" on the new album. The production of "Built To Last" was handled by Fredrik Nordström, a true metal professional. He has already worked with Hammerfall several times, but also with Opeth, Powerwolf and In Flames. In the meantime, the vocals for the album were again recorded with James Michael of Sixx:A.M. in Los Angeles. In addition to the standard CD and LP, "Built To Last" is also available as a CD and DVD set in a media book. The DVD contains footage of their performance at the Czech metal festival Masters of Rock 2015. Hammerfall continue to work on their remarkable body of work. With their new album "Built To Last" they add another milestone in 2016.
