A big thank you On October 1, the music world had to say goodbye to one of its great singers and composers: Karel Gott. In memory of the Czech artist and his work, a best of album "Danke Karel!" is now available as a deluxe double CD, as well as a five-CD showcase of his work. The standard CD contains 20 of Karel Gott's greatest hits, including classic songs such as "Lady Carneval", "Once Around the World", "Grandma", "You Know Where", "Bee My Mother", "Catch the Light" (with Darinka) and the song from the ARD TV lottery "And the Sun Will Shine Again". Another highlight is the song "Hearts Don't Go Out", which the singer recorded with his daughter Charlotte Ella Gott shortly before his death. All the songs were for the album "Danke Karel! The deluxe double CD also includes a bonus CD with more rarities, exciting duets and lesser-known songs. These include Karel's first ever studio recording: "Careless Love" from 1963 or "Zwei Köpfe hat der Drache", the title song of the fairy tale film "Das Geheimnis des zweiköpfigen Drachens", together with Magdalena Sieber. Last but not least, "Danke Karel!" is also available as a 5 CD box set. It includes: a new best of CD and eight LPs not yet available on CD, combined on four CDs: "From Romeo to Juliet", "Treasures of the Past", "This Land is My Land" (excerpts from the ZDF show of the same name), "One Love is Worth Many Tears", "And the Sun Will Shine Again", "Gute Reise" and "My Songs '79".
