The MC5 were wild and adventurous and always aimed for confrontation and provocation. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the release of their groundbreaking debut album, Kick Out The Jams, which was recorded over two nights in October 1968 at the Grande Ballroom in Detroit and saw the band perform to an enthusiastic audience. To celebrate the anniversary, Rhino is releasing MC5 Total Assault: 50th Anniversary, a limited edition box set featuring all three MC5 albums on colored vinyl.
