The pioneers of trip-hop in their original line-up and with a fresh update of their signature sound. This was not to be expected: Morcheeba celebrates a sensational comeback with "Blaze Away"! The unrivalled voice of the charismatic Skye Edwards, the lush beats and spherical sounds of DJ Paul Godfrey and the guitar riffs and keyboard passages of his brother Ross put the trio, founded in London in 1995, on the trip-hop track Massive Attack. The formation has released eight albums to date, including the best-selling "Who Can You Trust?". (1996), "Big Calm" (1998), "Fragments Of Freedom" (2000) and "Charango" (2002). In 2004, the Godfrey brothers parted ways with Edwards, but in 2010 the singer, whose voice put a distinctive stamp on the Morcheeba sound, rejoined them. They then released the album "Bloods Like Lemonade" and in 2013 "Head Up High". After a five-year hiatus, "Blaze Away" is a surprising but all the more welcome reboot, as the trio actually officially parted ways. In their relaunch, the trio returned to their tried and true genre mix from the 90s, but brought it fresh and organic to the present day. Roots Manuva, Benjamin Biolay, and Kurt Wagner made guest appearances.
