The heavy, dragging black metal anthems pull into a deep black nothingness. Satyricon once again rattles through breakneck riffs like a hyena through carrion. Unpredictably destructive, raw and unadulterated. Sometimes it rolls gradually, then it attacks! When the rain of conspiratorial choruses starts in "Black Wings And Withering Gloom", it's exhausting even for the strongest mind. Satyricon have been masters of their craft for 26 years and are rightfully one of the leading exponents of the black metal guild.
