Taken By Force, released in 1977, is the fifth studio album by German rock band Scorpions . The album was recorded in the United States and produced by Dieter Dierks. It was the band's first album to feature Uli Jon Roth on solo guitar. The album reached number 43 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold by the RIAA. The first single from the album, "I'm Leaving You", became a hit in the United States and reached number 38 on the Billboard Hot 100. The second single from the album, "Lovedrive", was also a hit and reached number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100. The third single from the album, "Holiday", reached number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The album's title track, "Taken By Force", was released as a promotional single in the United States. The album's fourth and final single, "Can't Get Enough", was released in Germany. Taken By Force was praised by music critics, with Eduardo Rivadavia of AllMusic calling the album "an undisputed hard rock classic" and "one of the most influential and successful albums of the decade".
