Slipknot are unlike any band the rock scene has ever seen, and to celebrate their groundbreaking 20-year anniversary, Slipknot are releasing a "best of" album on July 20, Antennas To Hell , documenting their unique career. Meanwhile, the band will spend the summer headlining the 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem festival and for the first time will host their own festival , Knotfest , which they will also headline. It's time for the release of the band's "best of" collection, which chronicles Slipknot's first chapter - a chapter in which an obscure band became one of the biggest rock bands in the world, on their own terms. The two-disc version of Antennas To Hell includes a bonus live CD capturing the band's 2009 performance at the legendary Download Festival in England, where they played a set of classic songs from throughout their career in front of 80,000 enthusiastic fans. The journey from "(sic)", the first track from their self-titled debut, to "Snuff", the haunting rock #1 from 2008's "All Hope Is Gone", is a powerful testament to this. The album features fan favorites, live classics and familiar radio hits. The DVD will include all previous music videos and 10 previously unreleased short films. Just look at the numbers: Slipknot have eleven platinum and 38 gold albums worldwide and several multi-platinum albums and DVDs to their credit. The band's last studio album, "All Hope Is Gone", debuted at number one on the US Billboard chart and number two on the German chart. The band has won a Grammy Award and has also been nominated seven times. Often imitated, never copied - Slipknot is just one. And they are unique.
