Slipknot's sixth studio album, We Are Not Your Kind, was released on August 9, 2019. The album was produced by Slipknot and Greg Fidelman and was recorded in a studio in Los Angeles. It is the band's first album since the death of bassist Paul Gray in 2010. The first single from the album, the track "Unsainted", was released on May 17, 2019. The album We Are Not Your Kind debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart, selling approximately 119,000 album equivalent units in its first week. This is the band's third album in a row to debut at number one. Music critics have praised the album, with some calling it the band's best album to date.
