Stevie Ray Vaughan's third studio album "Soul To Soul" was released in 1985, just two years after his successful debut "Texas Flood". On his way to a more soulful, R&B blues sound, Vaughan added two new band members on keyboards and saxophone. The band was adept at covering songs by Hank Ballard, Doyle Bramhall and Willie Dixon, which benefited Stevie Ray Vaughan's modern blues sound. His own compositions like "Say What," "Ain't Gone 'N' Give Up On Love" and "Life Without You" show an artist who is passionate about true blues, but also evolving as a songwriter. Review , "The LP reissue of this blues-rock classic omits the bonus tracks from the 1999 CD release, but it sounds all the juicier for it." (Good Times, February/March 2013)
