Stratovarius are clearly one of the most successful Finnish metal bands. They have made a name for themselves primarily with their impressive power metal, but also with a devoted fan base and intense live shows. "Under Flaming Winter Skies - Live In Tampere" now brings together the best of Stratovarius in one package. Since its formation in 1982, Stratovarius has released 14 genre-defining albums. Jörg Michael's drums, who has been an integral part of the band since 1995, have played a big part in the band's distinctive sound. After the drummer announced his departure from the band in 2011 for personal reasons, the band embarked on a major tour in autumn 2011 to bid Jörg Michael a fond farewell. This unique and emotional concert experience is now available. The nearly two-hour concert was recorded on November 19, 2011 at the Pakkahuone Hall in Tampere, Finland and shines with an impressive setlist that is peppered with classics such as "Under Flaming Skies", "Speed Of Light" and "Hunting High And Low". The high quality booklet is filled with rare photos, notes from the band members and an interview with Jörg Michael in which he reviews his time in Stratovarius.
