Black Keys: "Turn Blue" - the duo is going strong "Turn Blue" is the new album from the Black Keys. The long-player was once again produced by Danger Mouse, Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney and features 11 brand new tracks, including the first, previously released single "Fever". The spectacular new record was recorded in the summer of 2013 at Sunset Sound Studios in Hollywood, with additional recording sessions taking place at the Key Club in Benton Harbor, Michigan and in early 2014 at Dan Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound in Nashville. As for the meaning of the album title, the band states that it could refer to: A: suffocation B: sadness C: numbness from extreme cold D: a 1960s Cleveland television host named Ghoulardi E: All of the above "Turn Blue" is the duo's eighth studio album and the follow-up to 2011's "El Camino," which went multi-platinum and gold and earned the Black Keys three trophies at the 2013 Grammy Awards ("Best Rock Performance," "Best Rock Song" and "Best Rock Album"). After "El Camino", critics' and fans' expectations were quite high for the upcoming follow-up. "Turn Blue" has now been released and one can be sure: these expectations are clearly met and even exceeded by both men with the new album. Turn Blue" is incredibly multifaceted and much more complex than its predecessors. You hear songs with more depth. The exceptional duo has changed something musically, but at the same time kept the basics. The Black Keys really rocked out on "Turn Blue" and it sounds insanely good!
