The Doors' big anniversary is hard to believe: the Doors' legendary self-titled debut album celebrates its 50th birthday in 2017. The Doors' was originally released on January 4, 1967, and with songs like "Light My Fire," "Break On Through" and "Back Door Man," it became a springboard to success for the young psychedelic rock band. To this day, it remains one of the most influential rock albums in music history. Rolling Stone magazine named it the 42nd greatest album of all time.The three-CD anniversary edition includes a remastered version of the original stereo mix, a remastered mono mix (the first time ever on CD) and a live recording of the March 7, 1967 concert at "The Matrix" in San Francisco, where the band played most of the songs from "The Doors". The recording was made from the original tapes. The vinyl LP record also contains a mono mix.
