Rancid singer Tim Armstrong always knows how to surprise, even as the head of his label Hellcat. The best example: the Interrupters. The Los Angeles-based ska band, led by the very busy singer-songwriter Aimee Allen, began collaborating with Armstrong on a single for his popular Timebomb series. Prior to that, Allen had released a fairly successful solo album and was a backing vocalist on Jimmy Cliff's Grammy Award-winning album "Rebirth", which Armstrong produced. With his band The Interrupters, he combines ska, reggae and punk, but not without humor, as in the songs "White Noise" and "Liberty". Also aimed at fans of Rancid, The Distillers, Streetlight Manifesto, Sublime, Operation Ivy, Two Tone.
