"The Magician's Birthday" remastered and expanded Exactly 45 years ago, Uriah Heep's "The Magician's Birthday" was released. To mark the anniversary, the British hard rock legends are releasing a deluxe double-CD reissue of the album in 2017. "The Magician's Birthday" is the band's fifth studio album. It was recorded in 1972 at Lansdowne Studios in London. Production was handled by Gerry Bron. At the time, Uriah Heep featured David Byron (vocals), Gary Thain (bass), Lee Kerslake (drums and percussion), Mick Box (guitar) and Ken Hensley (keyboards, guitar and Moog synthesizer). The Magician's Birthday" features a total of eight tracks, including the singles "Spider Woman", "Sweet Lorraine" and "Blind Eye". All eight tracks were remastered for the 2017 re-release. The deluxe double CD also includes a bonus CD with a total of 15 alternate versions. The full track listing can be found below. A real highlight for all Uriah Heep fans: the remastered album "The Magician's Birthday" containing 15 interesting alternative tracks.
