- Limited first edition of 1,500 numbered LPs on Aquamarine vinyl - Audiophile 180g vinyl - Inner printed sleeve "Beaubourg" is an expressionistic work consisting almost entirely of strange, otherworldly sounds. Circular modulators, noise and strange effects reverberate through vast stereo spaces. The album is often described as anti-commercial because it is not melodic, but rather "consonant". However, Vangelis spoke fondly of the work in several interviews, and his sound engineer at the time said that Vangelis took the recordings very seriously. "The name "Beaubourg" comes from the street of the same name in Paris and refers to the Centre Pompidou building, which is a center of innovative modern (especially abstract) art. Available in a limited edition of 1,500 individually numbered copies on aquamarine vinyl.
