Lightning McQueen is finally returning to cinemas after a six-year hiatus! Fans of the fast-paced Disney-Pixar "Cars" franchise can also look forward to nine brand new songs! The film's official soundtrack delights with a mix of country, rock and pop and provides the perfect backdrop for McQueen's thrilling races. The opening song "Run that Race" by nine-time Grammy® winner Dan Auerbach was specially adapted for the film and was written after Auerbach looked at the storyboard and plot of Cars 3: Evolution. Another highlight of the CD is the song "Ride," which singer ZZ Ward co-wrote with blues-rock musician Gary Clark Jr. In addition to the two instrumentals by singer-songwriter Brad Paisley, the soundtrack also features four cover versions of legendary rock songs: James Bay with "Kings Highway" (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers 1991), Andra Day with "Glory Days" (Bruce Springsteen 1984), Jorge Blanco with "Drive My Car" (The Beatles 1965), Lea DeLaria with "Freeway of Love" (Aretha Franklin 1985).
