On the album "Maestro of Cool - A Tribute to Steely Dan", musicians from the USA, England, Australia and Germany bow to the genius of one of the most important bands of all time. Along with them are: Damon Albarn (of Blur), Nash Kato (of Urge Overkill), singer Debbie Deane, former Thievery Corporation singer Pam Bricker, guitarists Michael Landau, Chuck Loeb, trumpeter Randy Brecker, bassist John Patitucci, drummer Dave Weckl, keyboardist David Garfield, former Santana singer Alex Ligertwood and Donald Fagen, who played keyboards himself on one track. From Germany will come Liquid Blue, two guitarists Alex Gunia and Philipp van Endert and the project Trinity feat. Marco Minnemann and Gudze /ex-H-Blockx. In addition, there's plenty of companions Steely Dan, John Beasley, Bob Sheppard, Elliott Randall, Bernard Purdie, George Wadenious, Bill Ware and Cornelius Bumpus. As well as a good selection of songs, there are a variety of originals that bear comparison with the standard. Excellent musicians and varied performances make this one of the best albums of the year.
