The only predictable thing about Canada's space metal pioneers may be the fact that they will always remain unpredictable. In the thirty-fifth year of their innovative musical crusade, they remain an exceptional grouping around two founding members, Michel "Away" Langevin on drums and vocalist Denis "Snake" Belanger, as well as guitarist and songwriter Daniel "Chewy" Mongrain and newest band member Dominic "Rocky" Laroche on bass, not only remain extremely true to themselves on their current conceptual work, "The Wake," but also present themselves extremely animated and wonderfully carefree. Having already expanded the rules of thrash metal in the 80s, successfully explored the realms of prog metal in the 90s, and moving in their own direction with a flexible and always independent orientation since 2000, Voivod now embark on their most stylistically ambitious mission in a long time on their 14th studio album and successor "Target Earth" (2013). Always forward, always on the move!!!
