Open Your Eyes is the eleventh studio album by English rock band Yes , released on 3 November 1997 by Eagle Records. It is the first album with singer Jon Davison and the last album with keyboardist Tony Kaye. The album was recorded at Sound City Studios in Los Angeles, California and produced by Bruce Fairbairn. The album reached number 26 on the UK Albums Chart and number 111 on the US Billboard 200. On 17 December 1997, it received a gold certificate from the Recording Industry Association of America for shipping 500,000 copies in the United States. The album was generally well received by music critics. Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic awarded the album four stars out of five, calling it "an album that is as good as anything the band has ever done". He praised the album's "dense, muscular playing" and "emotional intensity". The album was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Rock Instrumental Performance at the 40th Annual Grammy Awards.
