40 Watt Sun is a British band formed in 2009 by singer and guitarist Patrick Walker, after the dissolution of his previous band, Warning. The group is known for its emotive blend of doom metal and a more melodic, introspective style of songwriting. Their debut album, "The Inside Room," was released in 2011 to critical acclaim within the doom metal community for its poignant lyrics and atmospheric sound. The band's follow-up album, "Wider Than The Sky," came out in 2016 and continued to showcase Walker's distinctive vocal delivery and the band's evolving sound, which began to incorporate more acoustic and quieter elements.
