A Winged Victory For The Sullen is an ambient music duo consisting of Dustin O'Halloran and Adam Wiltzie. The group formed in 2011 and quickly became known for their cinematic soundscapes that blend classical instrumentation with electronic elements. O'Halloran, an American pianist and composer, had already established a solo career with his contemplative piano works, while Wiltzie, an American musician and sound engineer, was well-regarded for his work with the ambient project Stars of the Lid. Together, they create music that is often described as ethereal, expansive, and deeply emotive.
