David Crosby is a renowned American singer-songwriter and musician who gained fame as a founding member of both the Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash (CSN). Born on August 14, 1941, in Los Angeles, California, he became an influential figure in the counterculture of the 1960s. With the Byrds, Crosby contributed to pioneering the folk-rock movement, particularly with hits like "Mr. Tambourine Man" and "Turn! Turn! Turn!" After his tenure with the Byrds, he went on to form Crosby, Stills & Nash with Stephen Stills and Graham Nash. The group later became Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young with the addition of Neil Young.
