Gloria Lynne was born Gloria Wilson in Harlem, she married Harry Alleyne. She won the first prize during an "Amateur Night" at Apollo Theater. Then, she recorded for groups like The Enchanters and The Delltones in the '50s and later solo in the '60s with small hits including "June Night," "Love I Found You," and "I Wish You Love". She made a comeback in the '90s. In 1996, she even received the International Women of Jazz Award. During her career, Ms. Lynne made nearly 400 recordings.
