June Carter Cash was a renowned American singer, songwriter, actress, dancer, and author. Born into the illustrious Carter Family on June 23, 1929, she was a part of one of country music's pioneering families. June began her career singing with the Carter Family in the 1940s and later became a solo artist. She was also famously known for her marriage to Johnny Cash, with whom she collaborated on numerous occasions, both before and after their marriage in 1968.
