Belgian Alternative Folk Band

Hailing from Antwerp and Ghent, the band formed by the brothers Pieter and Jonas De Meester first spent several years building their sound. Joined by Jorunn Bauweraerts (Lais/Prima Donkey) and Tomas De Smet (Zita Swoon/Think of One/Broken Circle Breakdown Band), the band played a series of "Zalige Zondagen" (Magnificent Sundays) at the legendary Café Charlatan in Ghent. Whilst playing lots of other bars throughout Belgium, they got the attention of international promotors, gaining them support slots on tours with My Morning Jacket and Absynthe Minded, visiting some beautiful venues like OLT in Antwerp! Three years after they'd met, with a round and about 100-song back catalogue, they were discovered by indie label WasteMyRecords - where they released their debut LP in august 2013. Melancholic like Karen Dalton, groovy like Morphine, raw like Tow Waits and sexy like Prince, that's the sound of King Dalton! Or, to use some more recent references: "homemade" Balthazar, Moondog Jr, Half Moon Run & Local Natives! Magic hours at the King Dalton Royal Stables!
