Lars Hannibal is a Danish classical guitarist and lutenist known for his work as a soloist as well as in various ensembles. He has had a prolific career in music, both as a performer and as a recording artist. Hannibal has often collaborated with other musicians, including his former wife, recorder player Michala Petri, with whom he formed the Petri/Hannibal Duo. The duo has been acclaimed for their interpretations of baroque music as well as contemporary works. Throughout his career, Lars Hannibal has been dedicated to expanding the repertoire for classical guitar and lute, commissioning new works and exploring different musical genres.
