The Orfeo Orchestra Budapest, also known as Orfeo Zenekar, is a Hungarian period-instrument ensemble that specializes in the performance of Baroque and Classical music. Founded and directed by György Vashegyi, the orchestra has gained recognition for its authentic interpretations of 17th and 18th-century music. They often collaborate with the Purcell Choir, also founded by Vashegyi, to perform larger choral-orchestral works.
