Plants and Animals are a Canadian indie-rock band from Montreal, Quebec. The band is composed of Warren Spicer (vocals, guitar), Nicolas Basque (guitar, bass, vocals), and Matthew 'Woody' Woodley (drums, vocals). They are known for their dynamic sound that blends elements of folk, rock, and psychedelic music. The band formed in 2004 and gained recognition with their debut album "Parc Avenue" in 2008, which was shortlisted for the prestigious Polaris Music Prize in Canada. They followed up with several more albums including "The End Of That" in 2012 and "The Jungle" in 2020.
