British Early Music Vocal Ensemble

The Binchois Consort is a British early music ensemble that specializes in the performance of medieval and Renaissance choral music. Founded in 1995 by director Andrew Kirkman, the group is named after the 15th-century Burgundian composer Gilles de Binchois, who was one of the most influential composers of his time. The ensemble is known for its pure and clear sound, which is particularly well-suited to the intricate polyphony of the period they focus on.
